About Betty

Born November 27, 1949 in Three Oaks--daughter of Charles and Maudie (Leamon) Jackson. She was a lifelong member of the Three Oaks Church of Christ and was a River Valley High School graduate and member of the class of 1967. Betty married Dennis Grosse on September 24, 1966. Wherever they moved, they always found their way back home to Three Oaks. She was the driving force at the Featherbone Restaurant which she owned with her husband and daughter, Jodie. Family, friends and "Featherbone Family" looked forward to seeing her smiling face, hearing her kind words, sharing her positive outlook, and they were amazed at her unstoppable energy. Betty was also an inspiration to her husband in their other business venture, Southwest Financial Services. She graciously served as the First Lady of Three Oaks during her husband's tenure as Village President. She also enjoyed being around people, mowing lawns and caring for her family in many other ways. Betty was an avid fundraiser for Relay for Life with Betty's Buddies.
